The city plans to focus all its capabilities on revitalizing the local economy by creating quality jobs and attracting local talent, breaking away from the industrial development system concentrated in the metropolitan area and fostering seven strategic industries suitable for Busan.

Meanwhile, the city has been selecting companies with growth potential for each strategic industry every year since 2006, and is helping them grow into global small and medium-sized companies such as Busan Hidden Champion and World Class in the future. Currently, a total of 88 companies have grown into global small and medium-sized companies through leading companies, and they have grown according to the city's corporate development plan and received about 70 billion won in government funds, including R&D and marketing.

Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon said, "Congratulations on being selected as a leading company in Busan, and we will continue to promote various support measures and system improvements to help leading companies innovate technology and focus on management to create a good city for business."
