Eco Maister enters the "waste refrigerant recovery" business.

Eco maister (CEO Kim Jong-won) announced on the 7th that it signed a business agreement with Advanced Environment (CEO Lee Kang-woo) on the 3rd for the waste refrigerant recovery project.

The agreement was held to strengthen the operation of Eco Maister to enter the waste refrigerant business and the advanced environment to recover waste refrigerants in the Seoul metropolitan area.

Eco maister is an environmental business that recycles slag, a waste from the steelmaking process, and a specialized machinery company that manufactures railway inspection facilities. The advanced environment is a company that has developed its own technology to refine and treat waste refrigerants, the main culprit of ozone layer destruction.

There are only three domestic companies that can recover, refine, recycle, or finally incinerate refrigerants, Eco maister said. "The advanced environment is located in Busan where the market leader with its own technology is located."

Lung refrigerants, commonly referred to as "freon gas," are considered the main culprits of ozone layer destruction and climate change.

The Air Environment Conservation Act defines refrigerants as climate and ecosystem-changing substances and mandates refrigerant management records by establishing separate refrigerant management standards. However, it is pointed out that the rate of recovery and recycling in Korea is less than 5%, which is only a small portion.

Eco Maister said, "Environmental issues are emerging worldwide, and the market for recovering, recycling, or disposing of refrigerants is expected to grow rapidly in Korea, with refrigerant management standards in earnest from 2018."

With this business agreement, the two companies will establish mutual cooperation systems in various fields, such as reducing climate change substances through compliance with the ▲ Waste Refrigerant Management Act ▲ highlighting the importance of waste refrigerant recovery and recycling ▲ expanding waste refrigerant recovery.
