The Korea Frozen Air Conditioning and Construction Management Association (Chairman Lee Jin-gyu) and Sunjin Environment Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Gang-woo, Seok Min-gwang) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for mutual cooperation and shared growth in the conference room on November 26 (Friday).

The signing ceremony was attended by officials from both sides, including Chairman Lee Jin-kyu of the association, Senior Vice Chairman Cho Jang-no, Vice Chairman Jang Sung-hyuk, Seok Min-gwang Sunjin Environment Co., Ltd., and Vice President Kim Gap-deuk.

Through this agreement, the two sides will actively cooperate in the development of the Korean refrigeration and air conditioning industry and the successful promotion of carbon neutrality in related industries through mutual trust and win-win cooperation.

The main contents of the agreement are △ Improving the quality of frozen air-related products and enhancing construction competitiveness △ Recycling and handling waste refrigerants, reducing laws and greenhouse gases △ Research and distribution of joint technologies for shared growth △ Standardization of construction, products, and parts.

Lee Jin-kyu, chairman of the association, said, "We hope that the two sides will be able to achieve synergy in various fields through cooperation in refrigerant-related education and distribution businesses."

Although the refrigerant business in an advanced environment is still short, Korea's waste refrigerant regeneration and treatment-related industries have a long way to go, said Seok Min-gwang, CEO of Sunjin Environment Co., Ltd. adding, "We look forward to strengthening the cooperation system."

Meanwhile, the Korea Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Management Association was launched on June 12, 2018 as a non-profit organization consisting of small and medium-sized companies and engineers engaged in the construction and maintenance of refrigeration equipment. It focuses on training and training professionals in the fields of construction and maintenance related to freezing air conditioning and refrigeration, as well as developing practical technologies, preparing and distributing standardized manuals, and establishing businesses.

Sunjin environment Co., Ltd. is an environmental engineering and recycling company that provides refrigerant-related services to all refrigerant-related businesses, including waste refrigerant recovery, refining and thermal treatment, greenhouse gas reduction projects to cope with climate change, and air pollution. Currently, it is establishing a cooperative network for waste refrigerant treatment after collection with about 300 registered refrigerant return registration companies.
